East Lake Park

Date of  Completion

November 2020

East Lake Park is a transformation of an unused piece of land along the west shore of East Lake into a family park accessible by vehicle, vessel and the trail system. Imagine partnered with the IDNR and city of Okoboji to clean up shoreline, clearing it of all voluntary trees, brush and invasive species. Additional parking spots will be added for the park along with improvements on the north end of the property which will remain a public access point for boaters.

The south end of the property will feature a public park with two areas, one for picnicking, the other a playground featuring a play structure resembling the Queen II. New picnic tables, benches, trash receptacles, bike racks, a bicycle repair station and a water bottle filling station with a drinking fountain and water bowl for dogs will add also be amenities.
